José Alberto Esquivel Añorve is a talented and accomplished chef from Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero. He is currently 25 years old and has a very promising career in the culinary world. He is the eldest of three siblings and has built his culinary career with dedication and passion. He arrived in Mazatlán in 2023, where he was offered his first position as Executive Chef at Hoteles Palace Mazatlán.

From a young age, Chef Alberto showed interest in the culinary environment. His first opportunity in the culinary world was in his hometown of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, working as a pizzaiolo in a prestigious Italian restaurant. His first experience with the hotel industry was thanks to a chef friend who invited him to work for the first time in a hotel in Ixtapa. Over the years, he has held various positions such as pizzaiolo, kitchen assistant, cook B, cook A, kitchen manager, and currently Executive Chef in Mazatlán.

His passion for gastronomy stems from his mother and grandmothers' heritage, providing Chef Alberto with a great variety of culinary and traditional influences, which he has adapted over time with his personal touch to offer diners unforgettable experiences. He specializes in Italian, Mexican, and international cuisine, always prioritizing the quality and freshness of the ingredients.

One cannot talk about José Alberto's influence in cooking without mentioning that a chef friend and a food and beverage manager were the ones who introduced him to the wonderful world of gastronomy. However, he is currently proud to work with someone he admires, Executive Chef Alfredo Romero Jiménez, who, in addition to being his colleague, has become a close friend. Attitude, punctuality, and responsibility are three words that define José Alberto when practicing his profession.
